Former French tennis great Julien Benneteau made his mark on the professional circuit between 2000 and 2018, reaching 25th in the world singles rankings and particularly winning the French Open doubles title in 2014 as well as the Davis Cup with the French team in 2017. Renowned in particular for his consistency and dedication, he continued his career in the service of French tennis by becoming captain of the French women’s Fed Cup team from 2019.

He will therefore take on a new role as tournament director.

For its inaugural edition, the ATP 125 Metz-Grand Est is set to welcome future stars of international and French tennis, along with established players seeking ATP points towards the end of the season to qualify for the Australian Open.
