Thursday 11 June will go down as a landmark date in the tournament’s history. In the presence of the Mayor of Metz and President of the Metz Euro-Metropolis, François Grosdidier, the Vice-President of the Grand Est Region, Guillaume Maréchal, the President of the French Tennis Federation, Gilles Moretton, and the President of the Grand Est Tennis League, Cédric Schwaederlé, the official launch of the new Metz–Grand Est Open was announced.

Organised jointly by the Grand Est Tennis League and the French Tennis Federation, the tournament will be part of the international ATP Challenger 125 circuit. The competition will run from Sunday 15 November, dedicated to the qualifying rounds, to Sunday 22 November, the date of the final.

Chosen to host this new edition, the Arènes de Metz is a key sporting venue in Metz and a setting naturally associated with the city’s finest moments in tennis.

This new event will bring together tennis enthusiasts, the people of Metz, and all residents and local authorities across the Grand Est region.
