Grand Est Tennis League

For 43 years, the Grand Est Tennis League has been developing and organising tennis, padel, beach tennis, pickleball and para-tennis in the region, supporting nearly 650 clubs and over 77,000 registered members through competitions, training courses and regional events.

French Tennis Federation

Since 1920, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) has been dedicated to developing tennis in France. Tournament Director

Julien Benneteau is the director of the 2026 Metz-Grand Est Open tournament

Former French tennis great Julien Benneteau made his mark on the professional circuit between 2000 and 2018, reaching 25th in the world singles rankings and particularly winning the French Open doubles title in 2014 as well as the Davis Cup with the French team in 2017. Renowned in particular for his consistency and dedication, he continued his career in the service of French tennis by becoming captain of the French women’s Fed Cup team from 2019.

He will therefore take on a new role as tournament director.

“ I would like to thank the FFT for the trust they have placed in me for this new challenge. I accept this role with great enthusiasm and humility, so that the city of Metz will continue to host a major tennis tournament.  ”
